How does the finders fee work?

Our Finder’s Fee is a flat, upfront charge that covers the entire sourcing stage. This includes:

  • defining your requirements

  • searching auctions and dealers in Japan

  • verifying listings and documentation

  • filtering out red flags

  • presenting only the best options

This fee covers Stage 1 only — the sourcing and verification process.

There are no hidden markups on the vehicle price.

Touge Imports acts solely as an independent sourcing intermediary. We do not buy, hold, store, or own vehicles at any stage of the process. All purchases are made directly between you and the exporter, ensuring full transparency and clear ownership from the moment you commit to a vehicle.


What does the Finder’s Fee include?

The flat fee covers:

  • sourcing

  • auction sheet translation

  • condition verification

  • communication with exporters

  • guidance on budgeting and total landed cost

  • support throughout the sourcing stage

It does not include the cost of the vehicle, shipping, taxes, or registration.


How do Japanese imports work from start to finish?

The process is simple and transparent:

  1. Define your requirements

  2. We source and verify options

  3. Put you in contact with the exporter

  4. Pre inspection by exporter

  5. You approve the vehicle

  6. Exporter purchases the car

  7. Importer pays the defined cost by exporter connection

  8. Exporter carries out pre shipping checks and your approve

  9. Shipping to your nearest dock

  10. Exporter will connnect you with a trusted Customs agent who will help you with; duty, VAT, port fee

  11. Exporter will connect you with a trusted Transport partner to your home


What are the total costs involved in importing a car?

A typical import includes:

  • vehicle price (auction hammer)

  • auction fees

  • export fees (CIF)

  • shipping (CIF)

  • Insurance (CIF)

  • UK port fees & import duty (10%)

  • VAT 20%

  • registration costs 3%

  • Finders fee


How long does the import process take?

On average:

  • sourcing: 1–4 weeks

  • shipping: 6 - 12 weeks

  • customs & registration: 1–2 weeks

Total: 7 – 18 weeks variable.


Can I track my import?

Yes — once shipped, you’ll receive tracking updates and estimated arrival dates.

Exception not all shipping companies provide this.


Do you only work with UK clients?

No. We assist clients across Europe and internationally.


Are vehicles inspected before shipping?

Yes. Every vehicle is checked by trusted partners in Japan before export.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location.


How long does shipping take?

UK orders typically arrive within 3–5 working days. International orders vary by location but usually take 7–14 working days.


What is your returns policy?

If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 14 days and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund. For sizing issues, exchanges are available as long as the item is unworn and in original condition.


What if my order arrives damaged?

Send us photos of the issue and your order number. We’ll replace the item or issue a refund depending on your preference.


How do I choose the right size?

Each product page includes a size guide. If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for hoodies and staying true‑to‑size for tees.


Can I cancel or change my order?

If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we can update or cancel it. Once dispatched, changes aren’t possible — but returns/exchanges are still available.


What materials do you use?

Our apparel is made from premium, heavyweight fabrics designed for comfort, durability, and a clean, minimal aesthetic.


Will merch be restocked?

Some items are limited runs, while others are restocked based on demand. If something is sold out, you can sign up for restock alerts on the product page.


Do you offer bundle deals or discounts?
